Key Learning Objectives:

• Permaculture Ethics and Principles: Explore the core ethics of Earth Care, People Care, and Fair Share, and understand how they guide the development of sustainable systems.
• Design Methodology: Get an introduction into permaculture design methodologies, including site analysis, observation, and pattern recognition, to create regenerative and productive landscapes.
• Ecological Systems: Gain an understanding of natural ecosystems, nutrient cycles, and how to mimic these systems in your designs.
• Water Management: Learn techniques for harvesting, storing, and managing water sustainably, including rainwater harvesting, swales, and ponds.
• Food Forests and Polycultures: Explore the concept of food forests and the art of designing diverse and resilient polyculture systems
• Renewable Energy: Integrate renewable energy systems such as solar, wind, and hydropower into your permaculture designs.
• Natural Building: Learn about sustainable construction methods and materials, including hemp, isolation and wood
• Community and Social Permaculture: Understand how permaculture principles can be applied to community building, economics, and social systems.
• Practical Design Projects: Apply your knowledge through hands-on design projects, and receive feedback and guidance from experienced permaculture practitioners.

Course Format:

• Duration: This is a 5 days course with 4 hours of classes a day (monday till friday). We start at 9 am and usally finish around 2 pm (including breaks)
• Location: The course take place on site at our Finca in Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife (Camion el Carril 39, 38400 Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife, Spain)
• Delivery: Engage in a mix of lectures, hands-on activities, site visits, group discussions, and design projects.
• Instructors: Learn from permaculture experts who bring real-world experience to the classroom.
